What is Epilepsy?
Approx. 65 million ppl. suffer from epilepsy.
It is a serious illness of the brain that affects all age groups and backgrounds.
But Numbers don’t mean anything right?
…Let’s put it this way…
That’s like approx. the whole population of Germany. Or the whole population of UK or the whole population of France or approx. the whole population of Italy.
It is 2x the whole population of Canada…
You get the picture right?
It is the most widespread brain illness in children too. Approx. 6 million children under 15 have epilepsy.
Did you know all this?
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, which can vary widely in severity and frequency. From absence seizures that cause momentary lapses in awareness to tonic-clonic seizures in which people just drop down, like they have been struck by lightning. They end up shaking and twisting (convulsions) and might die due to the fact that the brain ‘gets fried’.

Lives of People with Epilepsy
It has serious, life altering- profound psychological, social, and economic impacts on the lives of those that have it and their families and friends.
IN OTHER WORDS, – THESE PEOPLE NEED MONEY AND HELP TO SURVIVE.
Many individuals with epilepsy face real barriers to employment and education, stigma and discrimination.
It is usually due to fear of management and non-management of the fact that people with epilepsy might just drop totally unannounced or suddenly die (SUDEP) or that their performance might in certain periods be not extremely effective.
They forget even what they eat that morning, or where they are and why, in some periods when they are ill badly.
It’s because of the medications and/or the state of their brain itself.
Taking care of the condition often requires years or permanent ongoing medical care, including regular doctor visits, medication management, and monitoring for potential side effects.

Why We Exist?
Believe it or not, but…
SIMPLE:
We are the only Organization in Canada and beyond which focuses on financially supporting people suffering from Epilepsy.
We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy, primarily in financial aspects but also in non-financial ways.
Our programs and services are designed to address the diverse needs of the epilepsy community, offering everything from financial assistance for everyday lives, medical expenses to educational resources, support groups, and advocacy initiatives as well.
So…
Just Another Charity that asks for money and volunteers?
No. This Charity organization is different.
Noone protected the people suffering from Epilepsy financially before us…
Noone can do things like these like this alone.
We all know it -right?
So… We can’t do it alone either. We need your support.
United we can make it a reality. Together we can change the reality of lives for these people, their families and friends.
It takes a lot of time, effort and money to make this true.
AND WE?
WE ARE HERE TO STAY; IT WILL BE DONE!
Join Us & Let’s do this together …
We’re out here to help folks dealing with epilepsy, making sure they don’t end up on the streets, not knowing where they are, because their brain is ‘fried’ crawling and becoming beggars on top of it all and in a tight spot financially.
No one should have to worry about food, life, surviving, being only alone and falling apart inside, or not enjoying life because of epilepsy. Let’s team up and change that.
With your support, we can provide them real financial and other help they need and spread the word to make things better.
Together, we can make a real difference for everyone facing epilepsy.
Let us help them go back on their feet, feel better and live a better life.
Oh…Btw. people with epilepsy also usually live less long ‘cos their brain is slowly dying in their skull and becoming smaller ‘cos of seizures too, if untreated and sometimes even when treated.
HOWEVER: IF TREATED ITS A DIFFERENT REALITY…
LET’S BE THAT HELP IN TIMES OF STRUGGLE.
Together, we can make a real difference for everyone facing epilepsy….
A better, safer, longer, productive and more beautiful lives for us all….
